Arno Jansen Van Vuuren 

Arno Jansen Van Vuuren obtained an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria (UP), and is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He continued his education by obtaining a Contract Drafting Certificate,and completed an Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue Practice at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

His extensive experience, as an independent Practicing Attorney as well as working for legal practices like Gideon Pretorius Attorneys, Van Vuuren Attorneys, and Klopper Myburg Gwangwa & Associates Incorporated makes his services invaluable to any business that has to negotiate the maze of legal and procedural red tape facing new as well as existing businesses.

Bertus Coetzee

Bertus Coetzee is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, obtained a BCom degree with specialization in Law from the University of Pretoria in 2010, and an LLB degree in 2012. He obtained his LLB degree with distinction; was included in the Dean’s Merit List for outstanding academic achievement.

Before joining STRATLAW he was a Commercial Attorney at KMG and Associates Incorporated, focusing on Commercial Law.

Braam Botes

Braam has always had a passion for the construction industry and after completing Grade 12 he decided to pursue a career in quantity surveying.

He started studying at Tshwane University of Technology in 2011. He obtained a diploma in project management and quantity surveying in 2013. However he decided to further his studies and in 2014 he graduated with his BTech degree in quantity surveying.

While studying he decided to start work in the construction industry in 2012. After completing his degree he has worked on many projects, including Madupi and Kusile power stations as a Quantity Surveyor. He has grown substantially in the commercial side of projects and was involved in numerous projects up until now.

VanBroc Facilities is born on the eve of the financial crisis of 2008, providing commercial cleaning services to London companies.

January 2016 sees the launch of his business podcast, Klipkouers, interviewing local and internationally based Afrikaans Entrepreneurs, with the objective to stimulate and support Entrepreneurship and job creation in South Africa.

Leon Jansen van Vuuren

Leon Jansen van Vuuren is the founder and MD of QR4Risk Pty Ltd, a consultancy portal addressing business and environmental risk in the wildlife industry as well as the MD and founder of IQWild NPC, a non-profit organization involved in safeguarding wildlife heritage and biodiversity.

After attaining his B.Sc. Agric Honours degree in agriculture at the University of the Free State, a corporate career in sales and marketing started with Smithkline Beecham Animal Health (later Pfizer), followed by corporate exposure in agricultural businesses. With the disbandment of agricultural marketing boards (late eighties) and the start of the agricultural derivative market on SAFEX (the

South African Futures Exchange, JSE) a career in hedging price risk of grain commodities followed.
Since 2009 his career followed a route of business development and strategic consulting in the agriculture, hospitality and wildlife security industry, later acting as MD of a counter poaching security business, conducting business and security risk assessments throughout Africa and being involved with various businesses providing services to the conservation industry.

He is currently part of strategic business processes and development for G8Way technologies, Gotcha and M-Tag providing IoT strategies, products and technology to customers including Vodacom, MTN and various game reserves.


Sasha-Leigh Burggraaf

Sasha-Leigh Burggraaf obtained her LLB degree with distinction from North West University in 2018. She completed the second semester of her final year of study at the University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. During her studies, Sasha-Leigh was honoured for a variety of academic achievements, which includes being a Member of the Honorary Golden Key Society for academic excellence; best joint performance in Public International Law; best joint performance in Labour Law; Academic Council Certificate of merit for the top second year student; best performance in Indigenous Law; and various certificates of merit for obtaining a distinction average at the end of each year of study.

Prior to studying law, Sasha-Leigh embarked on various ventures which included, amongst others, completing courses in Engineering Graphics and Design (AutoCad) and being part of Emirates Airline’s international cabin crew. After completing her LLB degree, Sasha-Leigh joined Stratlaw as a candidate attorney, where her primarily focus has been Commercial Law, which includes, amongst others: Commercial Contract Drafting, Company and Trust registrations and amendments, and Corporate Governance.

Carl Stroud

Carl Stroud has enjoyed a successful professional career spanning 25 years, of which 18 years have been in executive and top management. More recently, Carl spearheaded the design and development of an integrated financial management solution (ERP) as the CEO of a JSE listed software house. Prior to this engagement he was the Managing Director of a financial services company (JSE listed) which employed more than 250 professionals. While in this role, extensive experiencing was gained in the field of mergers and acquisitions and Carl was instrumental in successfully concluding on numerous transactions.

In addition to his extensive private sector experience, Carl is widely considered an expert in the development and implementation of financial management reforms at all three spheres of government. He was also responsible for the compilation of annual financial plans and budgets (medium-term revenue and expenditure frameworks) at some of the Country’s metros. Furthermore, he has also successfully guided the development and implementation of technologies to ensure organizational objectives are achieved within timeframes, budget and achieve competitiveness within an ever-changing technological environment while understanding the competing priorities within an organisation. As recent as March 2020 Carl has successfully launched his new business venture within the Financial Advisory Sector and has already successfully secured short-term contracts. Among many of his qualification highlights, Carl has also secured a Master’s in Business Administration.

Johan Els

Johan Els is an admitted and practising advocate of the High Court of South Africa and mainly practices in the field of Tax Law.

Johan believes that tax in South Africa is highly emotive and under the current political dispensation poses a moral conundrum to most contributing and compliant taxpayers. It is his professional view that a taxpayer should pay what is due and not what is demanded.

He obtained his LLB degree as well as his LLM: Taxation at the University of Pretoria and he is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Commercial Law through Robert Kennedy College (Switzerland) in association with the University of Salford (UK).
